Our modern glasshouses are fully equiped and state of the art.
SeedCare currently has 2 ha, of glass divided in 20 different sections. These sections vary from 100 m² to 2000 m².
Each section is computercontrolled by our Hoogendoorn Economic Climatcontrol Computer.
This PC even gest the weather to predict the best conditions for our crops.
The sections are all individually equiped with variable shading, artificial lights (400watt and 600 watt), CO² injection, high and low heatingpipes, Reldair Moisture unit (120 ato) etc.
We have per section different forms of tables, watersystems etc.
Everything is being done to accommodate as many crops and varieties as possible as you can read under the button Crops.
On a yearly base we usually have about 15 to 25 crops for seed production or nursery to seedproductionplants.
All the sections are to be controlled individually.
For example: During the summer we can maintain the humidity and lower the temperature by 4 °C,
by using the Reldair fog unit which presses water at 120 ato. thru little nozzles in the section.
This way we can still pollinate Viola at a hot summer's day.
